Fenn Bruns (they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist and educator with a BFA from Cal Poly, SLO in both Photography and Queer and Trans Studies. They work within the context of queer abstraction and feminist craft movements to create pieces that explore the complexities of a shifting experience with queer identity and employ materials tied to their family lineage, such as Irish textile manufacturing and manipulation. Their interdisciplinary approach to art reflects a deeply personal, yet universal, experience with identity formation that emerges from a collection of aesthetics, experiences, and people that make us who we are. Their work has been shown across San Luis Obispo and Sacramento County, including The Bunker SLO, WAL Public Market, Red Museum, and Prism Art Space.
